You are the brightest light!

What motivates the body to breathe in and out, the heart to beat, and the need for sleep? Is it your thoughts that keep the autonomic nervous system running and the brain functioning at a highly complex rate?
The truth is very simple. The same formless essence that moves the perfect systems of the human body, is the very essence of who we are. It is fundamental in our core, that there is no person doing anything. But rather the pure, aware, life force that flows so freely and effortlessly that we don't even notice it. This doesn't mean that things don't get done. But the beautiful, loving awareness uses the mind in perfect rhythm, rather than the mind continuing a dysfunctional perception of reality.
As long as we are in the habit of believing that the thoughts running us around are the reality of our world, then the essence of the Self will remain shrouded underneath. If you take a light bulb and cover it in cloth, the light will not be able to come through. But the light never ceases to shine. The cloth represents the conditioned mind. The belief that we are not perfect and whole. The belief that our worth is measured by the amount of things we DO, and how those things are perceived by others.
The cloth is each and every false belief we have stored in our consciousness and carried around. It's not our fault that this is true. It's part of the dance of being human. The dance of pure consciousness dancing with itself.
The answer is very simple. Step back from the thought that engages the movement of the body to do something. Just for a moment, be completely present, become the one who is aware that a thought has arisen. Notice the sensation of the body to move. Then question the thought. Is this necessary? Right here and now, in perfect presence and awareness, just watch the thought. At first, the awareness may come after the action has taken place. THAT'S OKAY! The more you step into pure awareness, which is yourSelf, the quicker you become present.
Eventually, you become peaceful and still prior to the action. And the action may, in fact, be necessary! In that case, continue to move forward. But now what is moving forward? Awareness. This is YOU as AWARENESS=no doer. Awareness is moving the body forward on its own. Step out of the external criteria for happiness and peace, and step into the Self that is always joyful and peaceful because outer circumstances no longer matter. The light bulb is free to shine, as it always has and always will.
